Community Supported Agriculture

CSA

We have offered a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share program for over 25 years. Members purchase a full or half share preseason, then we grow, harvest, and deliver bags of fresh produce during the growing season.

What Size?

Half share quantities are intended to provide fresh vegetables for multiple meals over the course of a week for one to three people (an August delivery might include 2# of potatoes, 1# of green beans, one head of garlic, a big handful of fresh basil, a pint of cherry tomatoes, one sweet pepper, a fennel bulb, and two zucchini, for example). Full shares will usually double the half share quantity and sometimes include an item or two that the half share doesn’t get. This size is great for a veggie-eating family, or to divide with another household.

What Season?

We are offering shares in two seasons this year. There is a summer plan, with five delivery dates (June 24, July 8 and 22, August 5 and 19th). You’ll get our best sun-drenched favorites, like cherry tomatoes, green beans, new potatoes, fresh basil, zucchini, carrots, salad mix, and the first heirloom slicer tomatoes. Full shares cost $275 and half shares cost $150. The delivery fee is included in the price.

This will be followed by a weekly fall plan, running every Wednesday from September 3 through October 29 (9 deliveries). Fall shares will include late-summer veggies like tomatoes, peppers, and green beans, fall staples like broccoli, greens, and leeks, and winter storage crops like potatoes, onions, and cabbage. Full shares cost $495 and half shares cost $270 (again, delivery is included). We hope that you will participate in both the summer and fall CSA plans, but we split the seasons up so that you have a choice!

Vegetable Delivery

Deliveries are made between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. We deliver in Decorah and to anyone within a 5-mile radius. If you live farther out, check with us about picking up at the farm or at a drop-off site in Decorah.  

Newsletter & Extras

Besides the great vegetables, you will also get a weekly newsletter with updates from the farm, a recipe, and preparation tips about the items in your bag. You can also add-on to your weekly CSA bag by ordering from Patchwork Green’s online store.
