Our Story
Head north from Decorah, and you experience the best of the Driftless region topography, from narrow, scenic ridges to tight, wooded valleys. The 40 acres of Patchwork Green Farm straddle this ridge and valley, with oak trees, pasture ground, restored prairie, and five acres of annual vegetables.
We’ve been growing vegetables since 1997, and we’re amazed at our good fortune to be able to work in this place. A small garden crew joins our family each season to cultivate a wide range of annual vegetables and herbs.
Most of our work is done by hand, and we follow organic and regenerative management principles. At Patchwork Green Farm, our focus is on vegetable flavor and quality, with beauty and storage life also highly valued. We take pride in our fresh and clean food raised for our local community.
